about the photographer

Hi, I'm Chanelle, a portrait and lifestyle photographer based in Ottawa. My passion is simple: capturing the authentic, unscripted moments that tell your unique story. My goal is to work with you to capture those real, beautiful moments or bring your creative ideas to life with zero fuss and lots of care.

My style is bright, candid, and warm, focusing on genuine emotion over forced poses. Think of this "Lab" as my cozy space where I make sure your photos turn out exactly the way you hoped.

The whole photo journey began simply with a film camera back in high school. This led me to study Fine Arts and eventually take on small photography jobs alongside my work as a Graphic Designer.

My skills really took off when I worked as a photographer on cruise ships. I got deep into black and white portraits and lifestyle shoots, and even spent a couple of years managing teams and helping train new photographers. After leaving the ships, I spent a few years living in Europe and am now settled here in Ottawa, continuing to pursue the passion that started years ago.

**When I'm not shooting, you can usually find me walking uphill, pressing the gas pedal, clinging to a wall, OR fulfilling my contractual obligation to amuse my supervisor, Alaska the cat.
